Youth Stabbed by Friend in Balianta, Critical at SCB
Bhubaneswar, June 5: Tension gripped Balianta on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar after a youth was critically injured in an alleged stabbing by his friend.
The victim, identified as Hadibandhu Pradhan, sustained severe abdominal injuries following a heated dispute.
Eyewitnesses reported that Pradhan was found bleeding profusely before being rushed to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Doctors later referred him to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, where his condition remains critical.
Police sources suggest the attack may have stemmed from old rivalry or personal enmity.
The accused fled the scene immediately after the incident and is currently absconding. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
The incident has sparked concern among locals over recurring violent confrontations in the area, prompting calls for stricter law enforcement.
