Odisha Vigilance Arrests Kujanga CHC Block Programme Manager for Bribery
Odisha Vigilance officials arrested Manoj Ranjan Nayak, Block Programme Manager (NHM) of Kujanga CHC, while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a health staffer.
According to the complaint, Nayak had threatened an Ashkarmi worker by claiming her retirement would be advanced due to an incorrect date of birth in her Aadhaar card, despite her school leaving certificate showing two more years of service.
Acting on the complaint, Vigilance set up a trap and caught him red‑handed.
The bribe amount was recovered in full, and simultaneous searches are underway at Nayak’s properties to investigate disproportionate assets.
A case has been registered at Cuttack Vigilance PS (Case No. 31, dated 19.08.2026) under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
The investigation is ongoing.
