Odisha Revises Civic Poll Schedule: Key Dates Announced

The Housing and Urban Development Department has announced a revised timeline for ward delimitation and seat reservation ahead of the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections in Odisha.

The schedule applies to Municipalities, Notified Area Councils (NACs), and Municipal Corporations across the state, excluding Boudh district.

For Municipalities and NACs, the draft notification will be released on September 24, 2026, with public objections accepted until October 3, 2026.

The preliminary notification is set for October 7, followed by an appeals window until October 21.

Appeals must be submitted to the Director by October 22, with hearings scheduled between October 26–28.

The final notification will be issued on October 31, 2026.

Special provisions have been outlined for Bhubaneswar, Kataka, Berhampur, and Raurkela Municipal Corporations.

Proposals and layouts must be submitted by September 24; draft notifications will be published on October 5, and objections will be accepted until October 14, 2026.
