Odisha Paddy Procurement 2025–26: Rs 7,914 Cr MSP Paid to 6.9 Lakh Farmers
Odisha has achieved a significant milestone in the ongoing Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2025–26, with paddy procurement crossing 30.49 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) and benefiting nearly 6.93 lakh farmers across the state.
The Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) has disbursed Rs 7,914.15 crore as Minimum Support Price (MSP) and input assistance, ensuring timely financial relief to cultivators.
Western Odisha districts have led the drive, with Sambalpur achieving 96% of its target and Subarnapur reaching 77%. Bargarh, Bolangir, and Jharsuguda have also crossed 60% of their procurement goals.
In southern Odisha, Ganjam has operationalised 476 mandis, enabling 45,255 farmers to sell their produce—more than double last year’s figures.
Coastal districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Jajpur, and Kendrapara, have recently joined the procurement process.
The state has introduced digital reforms such as Aadhaar‑linked e‑KYC on the P-PAS portal, ensuring direct benefit transfers to genuine cultivators.
A 24/7 control room at OSCSC headquarters monitors arrivals, lifting schedules, and transportation, while a toll‑free helpline (1967) addresses farmer grievances.
This procurement success underscores Odisha’s commitment to agricultural efficiency, transparency, and farmer welfare, setting a strong precedent for the remainder of the season.
