Odisha Extends UG Admission Timeline Amid Flood Crisis
The Odisha Higher Education Department has extended the Phase‑I undergraduate admission schedule following widespread floods across the state.
The revised timeline applies to all (+3) Degree institutions, including State Public Universities, Government, Aided, Unaided, and Law Colleges.
Students allotted seats in the third and final selection round must report to their institutions by 5:00 pm on August 5, 2026, with data updates completed by 9:00 pm the same day.
To ensure vacant seats are filled, the department has introduced a fourth round (spot/waiting selection):
- Waitlist publication: August 8, 2026
- Candidate reporting: August 10–11, 2026
- Merit list release: August 12, 2026
- Document verification & fee payment: August 13–14, 2026
The schedule for Phase‑II admissions will be announced separately.
Officials emphasised that the extension aims to accommodate students affected by the floods and maintain fairness in the admission process.
