Odisha CM Announces Ex Gratia for Families of Mishap Victims
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced ex gratia compensation of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of three individuals who lost their lives in separate tragic incidents.
According to official sources, the victims died in different mishaps — one in a road accident, another due to a lightning strike, and the third in a drowning incident.
Expressing deep condolences, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure immediate disbursal of the financial assistance to the bereaved families.
The move underscores the state government’s commitment to extending timely support to citizens affected by unforeseen tragedies.
