Kendujhar SP Suspends Saharpada Outpost In-Charge Over Duty Negligence

Kendujhar: In a stern action against alleged dereliction of duty, Kusalkar Nitin Dagudu, Superintendent of Police (SP), Kendujhar, suspended Parto Oram, the officer in charge of Saharpada Police Outpost, following a surprise inspection that reportedly revealed lapses in a special security operation.

The action comes amid an ongoing investigation into the murder of a businessman from Kendeipashi village.

Following the incident, the district police had intensified security measures and vehicle-checking operations across Kendujhar to track down suspects and maintain vigilance.

According to reports, police personnel had been directed to conduct vehicle checking and blockade operations in two shifts, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 6 pm to midnight.

During a surprise visit to the designated checking point, the SP allegedly found that no police personnel were present at the location.

Investigations revealed that the morning checking operation had reportedly been discontinued before the scheduled time.

Taking serious note of the violation of official instructions, the SP ordered the immediate suspension of Parto Oram on charges of negligence and failure to carry out assigned duties.

Meanwhile, Kiran Prasad Sahu, Inspector-in-Charge of Patna Police Station, has also been directed to report to the district police headquarters as inquiries into the matter continue.

The incident underscores the district police administration’s emphasis on accountability and strict adherence to operational duties, particularly during sensitive criminal investigations.
