Naveen Patnaik Directs BJD Media Cell to Highlight Issues Against BJP Government
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has intensified its political outreach efforts with party president Naveen Patnaik directing the newly constituted media cell coordination team to actively highlight issues concerning governance and public welfare in Odisha.
The directive was issued during a meeting held at Naveen Niwas with members of the party’s media and communication network.
Addressing the gathering, Naveen Patnaik emphasised the importance of strengthening the party’s communication strategy across print, electronic, and social media platforms.
He urged the team to effectively communicate with the public and bring attention to what the BJD describes as governance failures and policy shortcomings under the BJP-led state government.
The former Chief Minister stated that many citizens are facing difficulties and expect the Opposition to raise their concerns.
He stressed that the BJD has a responsibility to safeguard public interests and ensure that people’s voices are heard through democratic means.
During the meeting, party leaders discussed strategies to improve outreach and engagement with citizens.
The media cell was tasked with creating coordinated campaigns and disseminating information through multiple communication channels to strengthen the party’s presence across Odisha.
Several senior BJD leaders, including Sanjay Das Burma, Arun Kumar Sahu, Pratap Jena, Gautam Buddha Das, Pranab Balabantray, Lenin Mohanty, Priyabrata Majhi, Swayam Prakash Mohapatra, and Amaresh Patri, attended the meeting.
The development signals BJD’s renewed focus on organisational communication and public outreach as the party seeks to strengthen its role as Odisha’s principal opposition force.
