Odisha Assembly Orders Report on Breach of Privilege Complaint Against Kesinga SDPO

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly has directed the Home Department to submit a detailed report within 15 days following a breach of privilege complaint filed by Narla MLA Manorama Mohanty against Kesinga SDPO and his team.

According to the complaint, the police allegedly forced entry into Mohanty’s official quarters in Bhubaneswar during the Assembly session, damaging the gate, doors, and windows.

The MLA further alleged that her daughter and domestic help were misbehaved with during the incident.

Taking the matter seriously, Speaker Pramila Mallik instructed Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Rout to communicate with the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department.

A letter dated July 28 emphasised the urgency of the issue and sought immediate action.

The Assembly Secretariat has categorised the matter as urgent, underscoring the need for accountability and a swift response from the Home Department.
