Odisha +2 First Phase Admission Merit List Released: 93% Selection Rate
Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha, has announced the first-phase merit list for +2 e-admissions for the 2026–27 academic session.
Out of 4,61,325 applicants, 4,29,219 students secured admission, marking a 93.04% selection rate.
Stream-wise Highlights:
- Science: Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar HSS (Bhubaneswar) topped with a 93.40% cut-off.
- Arts: BJB HSS led with 81%, followed by Rourkela Govt HSS at 80.67%.
- Commerce: BJB HSS again topped with 82.40%, followed by Rourkela Govt HSS at 81.20%.
Distribution of Selections:
- Arts: 2,76,925 students
- Commerce: 19,844 students
- Science: 1,21,494 students
- Upashastri: 6,134 students
- Vocational: 4,822 students
Gender-wise, 2,00,493 male and 2,28,675 female students were selected.
Notably, 2,97,454 students secured their first-choice institutions.
Classes for +2 (Class XI) will commence on 23 July 2026.
Students not selected in this round will have opportunities in the second and spot selection phases.
