In 2005, she even received a Grammy nomination.
Beyond music, she made her acting debut in Mai (2013).
Her personal life saw early struggles, including separation from her first husband, Ganpatrao Bhosle, before marrying celebrated composer RD Burman at 47.
Her passing marks the end of an era in Indian music, leaving behind a timeless legacy that shaped Bollywood’s golden age.
