Media Barred from Pahadpur Ahead of Murmu & Modi Visit
Mayurbhanj district administration has imposed strict restrictions on media entry into Pahadpur village on June 20, ahead of the high‑profile visits of President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to official communication from the District Intelligence Bureau and Superintendent of Police, the move is part of enhanced security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
The District Information and Public Relations Officer (DI&PRO) has instructed all print and electronic media personnel not to enter Pahadpur on the day of the visit.
Authorities have appealed to media houses to cooperate with the directive, citing security concerns.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Mayurbhanj on June 19, followed by Prime Minister Modi on June 20.
Both leaders are expected to visit Pahadpur on June 20.
In addition, a major public programme will be held at Rairangpur to mark the second anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha.
