Kantamal BDO Suspended Amid Pending Disciplinary Proceedings
Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: The Odisha Government’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department has placed Sami Reddy Jayashree, Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kantamal, under suspension with immediate effect following the contemplation of disciplinary proceedings against her.
According to an official order issued by the department, disciplinary action is being considered against the officer.
Pending the proceedings, she has been suspended from service with immediate effect.
The government has designated the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division) in Sambalpur as her headquarters during the suspension period.
The suspended officer has also been directed not to leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the RDC (Northern Division), Sambalpur.
As per the order, Sami Reddy Jayashree will be eligible to receive subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code during the suspension period.
The department has further instructed the Collector of Boudh district to serve the suspension order and furnish draft charges along with a memorandum of evidence against the officer.]
The suspension comes as the state government initiates the process for disciplinary proceedings, with further action expected based on the outcome of the inquiry.
