Jagatsinghpur Schools Closed Amid Heavy Rain Alert
The Jagatsinghpur district administration has ordered the closure of all schools on Monday, July 27, following a heavy rain alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated spells of extremely heavy rain in the district.
The directive applies to all government, government-aided, and privately managed institutions, including elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools, as well as Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs).
The rainfall is attributed to a low-pressure area forming over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions of Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha.
Authorities have urged parents, teachers, and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the closure order and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.
