FWICE Withdraws Non-Cooperation Directive Against Ranveer Singh After Legal Notice

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has officially withdrawn its non-cooperation directive against actor Ranveer Singh, following a legal notice served by the star and appeals from key industry bodies.

The dispute arose after Singh reportedly stepped away from Don 3, a project announced in 2023 with Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment.

FWICE claimed the exit caused losses of nearly Rs 45 crore, prompting the directive on May 25.

Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson emphasised that disagreements within the film fraternity should be resolved with “dignity, maturity and mutual respect.”

The Producers Guild of India, IMPAA, and CINTAA also intervened, urging dialogue over confrontation.

FWICE President B.N. Tiwari clarified that the matter was not about victory or defeat, and their legal department will respond to Singh’s notice.

The withdrawal signals a move toward reconciliation, with industry stakeholders encouraging collaborative resolution.
