Cuttack Police May Seek Fresh Remand of Jail Escapee Raja Sahani
Cuttack, April 16: The seven-day police remand of Raja Sahani, a notorious criminal who had earlier escaped from Choudwar Jail, concluded on Thursday.
He was produced before the JMFC Court in Cuttack under tight security by Karnataka Police.
During custody, Sahani was interrogated extensively and taken to his home state in connection with a ₹20 crore jewellery heist in Mysore.
Investigators reportedly uncovered crucial links to the robbery through his questioning.
Officials indicated that the Cuttack Commissionerate Police may seek his remand again to probe other cases registered against him in Odisha.
This marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into interstate criminal networks involving Sahani.
