CMO File Theft Case: VK Pandian Declines Summons, Seeks Video Conference Option
Bhubaneswar, July 25: Former IAS officer and BJD leader VK Pandian has declined the police summons in the CMO file theft case, citing his stay abroad.
In a communication to the Capital Police Station, Pandian expressed willingness to cooperate once he returns or via video conference.
The police notice, issued on July 22, directed him to appear before ACP Zone‑1 Ramesh Chandra Bisoi at 11 AM on July 25 in connection with Case No. 460, dated June 10, 2026.
The case involves missing files from the Chief Minister’s Office, including reports on two sensitive incidents — the 2008 murder of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and the 2016 SUM Hospital fire tragedy.
