CBI Arrests MCL Security Inspector for Bribery in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Security Inspector of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a fellow employee.
According to officials, the inspector sought the money in exchange for allotting Sunday duty on a rotational basis.
Acting on a complaint, the CBI laid a trap and caught him red‑handed while accepting the bribe.
The accused will be produced before a competent court on Friday. CBI confirmed that further investigation into the matter is underway.
