Bhubaneswar Court Convicts Seven in OTP Leak Case Linked to Pakistani Agents

Bhubaneswar, April 15: The SDJM Court in Bhubaneswar has convicted seven individuals for leaking sensitive information by sharing OTPs with suspected Pakistani operatives, raising serious concerns over national security.

The court sentenced each accused to three years of rigorous imprisonment, relying on 56 documentary evidences and testimonies from 11 witnesses.

Investigations revealed that the accused were guilty of sharing OTPs, which facilitated unauthorized access to confidential data.

Cybersecurity experts have warned that such negligence in handling OTPs, passwords, and verification codes can lead to identity theft, financial fraud, and threats to national security.

The case serves as a reminder of the urgent need for digital vigilance and awareness among citizens.
