Badabil Civil Society Flags Civic Concerns: Bus Terminus & Krushak Bazar Misuse

Kendujhar — The Badabil Civil Society has urged the District Collector to address two pressing issues affecting the town.

Despite being inaugurated in 2012, the Biju Patnaik Bus Terminus in Badabil remains non-functional.

The society highlighted overcrowding at the old bus stand, traffic risks, and lack of amenities.

They requested immediate operationalisation, eviction of encroachments, and provision of restrooms, drinking water, and toilets.

The society also complained about the Krushak Bazar at Ward No. 15, meant for marginal farmers, being occupied by non-farmers.

Genuine vendors are forced onto roadsides, creating congestion.

They demanded an enquiry, cancellation of ineligible allotments, and restoration of the market to rightful beneficiaries.

Both petitions call for urgent intervention to improve public safety, fair trade, and dignified facilities for Badabil residents.
