Vigilance Raids Bhadrak JE Over Disproportionate Assets
Bhubaneswar/Bhadrak, May 14: Odisha Vigilance has launched simultaneous raids against Sri Bijaya Kumar Mohanty, Junior Engineer in the CAD Division, Bhadrak, following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore, teams inspected four locations, including Mohanty’s triple‑storeyed residence in Samaraipur, his ancestral house in Basta (Balasore), his Bhadrak office, and a relative’s residence in Malipada, Bhubaneswar.
The operation, led by four DSPs and four Inspectors with supporting staff, focused on verifying documents, financial records, property details, and valuables.
Officials stated that the searches are part of Odisha Vigilance’s ongoing crackdown on corruption and illegal wealth accumulation among public servants.
A detailed assessment of assets recovered will be released after completion of the investigation.
