Sanctity Protected: Fake Ghee Found in Mahaprasad Preparation

Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has seized 30 packets of unauthorised ghee from the Roshaghara, the sacred kitchen where Mahaprasad is prepared.

Security personnel discovered the packets during a routine inspection and confirmed that the ghee was not of the approved OMFED brand, which is the only variety permitted for temple rituals.

Officials immediately removed the seized packets to safeguard the sanctity of Lord Jagannath’s offerings.

SJTA has launched an investigation to identify the Suar Sevak responsible and to determine whether a larger conspiracy is involved.

Temple authorities have assured devotees that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.

Security measures around the kitchen have been reinforced, and supply procedures are being reviewed to prevent recurrence.

The swift response has reassured devotees that the sanctity of Mahaprasad remains protected.
