Revenue Minister Pledges Transparent Hiring, Cadre Reforms

Bhubaneswar: Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari convened a meeting with the Revenue Field Officers Association at Lok Seva Bhavan to address pressing challenges faced by grassroots staff.

Officers highlighted issues such as heavy workloads, large RI Circle areas, and operational bottlenecks.

Responding to these concerns, the Minister announced a series of reforms:

  • Reduction of RI Circle areas for better coverage.
  • Funds allocation to RI offices for smoother daily functioning.
  • Transparent recruitment processes to accelerate hiring.
  • Financial support for field visits to ease inspection burdens.
  • Streamlined promotions and cadre restructuring to motivate staff.

Pujari urged officers to serve with dedication, honesty, and integrity, ensuring revenue services remain citizen‑friendly.

The association expressed gratitude for his sensitivity and pledged cooperation.

Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, attended the meeting.
