Paradip Ship Sinking: Coast Guard Launches Rescue for 24 Crew
A Panamanian‑flagged bulk carrier, M/V Ocean Winner, sank mid‑sea about 200 nautical miles off the Paradip coast on August 22.
The vessel, loaded with iron ore, had departed Paradip Port on August 20 bound for Singapore.
There were 24 crew members onboard, most of them Chinese nationals.
The Odisha Coast Guard has launched a rescue operation to trace and evacuate the crew. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and further updates are awaited.
