Odisha Police Tighten Security Ahead of President Murmu’s Mayurbhanj Visit

Mayurbhanj is witnessing heightened security arrangements as President Droupadi Murmu prepares to visit the district.

Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania personally reviewed the security plan, inspecting routes, venues, and coordination points with local police and district administration.

Senior officers briefed the DGP on deployment strategies, crowd management, and emergency response systems.

Surveillance has been strengthened, traffic regulation tightened, and additional forces mobilised to ensure smooth public movement.

The multi‑layered security plan includes communication monitoring and coordination with intelligence units.

The DGP directed officers to maintain vigilance and ensure seamless execution of the President’s itinerary.
