Odisha Opens Kharif Paddy Registration for 2026 Season

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced that registration for the 2026 Kharif paddy procurement season will be open from August 6 to August 31, 2026.

Farmers are required to collect and submit fresh registration forms at their nearest Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS).

Officials have emphasised that Aadhaar‑based e‑KYC is mandatory for all applicants.

Farmers must provide key documents including Aadhaar card photocopy, Aadhaar‑linked or alternative mobile number, Record of Rights (RoR) or land documents, the first page of their bank passbook, and either a Farmer Registry number or Agri Stack number.

For sharecroppers, additional requirements apply: a consent letter from the landowner, Aadhaar e‑KYC for both cultivator and landowner, and the landowner’s physical presence during registration.

Farmers must also specify the month and fortnight when they plan to sell their paddy.

Authorities say the streamlined process aims to ensure transparency, timely procurement, and fair participation during the upcoming season.
