Ariha Pangambam Wins India’s First Aerobic Gymnastics Gold
Indian gymnast Ariha Pangambam has etched her name in history by becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal in aerobic gymnastics at the Asian Championships.
Competing in the senior women’s individual category, Ariha delivered a stellar performance, scoring 19.100 points overall.
Her artistry earned 8.650, execution 7.600, and difficulty 2.850.
The 2026 Asian Aerobic Gymnastics Championships, held in the Philippines from August 4–7, witnessed Ariha’s groundbreaking achievement.
Gymnastics Federation of India president Sudhir Mital hailed her victory as a proud moment for the nation, marking India’s maiden gold in this discipline.
