Odisha Minister Backs Centre’s Swift NEET Leak Response

Odisha Law, Works, and Excise Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan has strongly defended the Union Government’s response to the NEET paper leak controversy.

He stated that the Centre acted swiftly by launching an investigation, arresting those involved, and ensuring strict measures against malpractice.

Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance that students’ interests remain the government’s top priority, Harichandan pointed to the announcement of fast‑track courts and speedy justice mechanisms.

He noted that the NEET UG 2026 re‑examination was conducted smoothly across the country with adequate arrangements.

The Minister criticised ongoing student protests in Delhi, questioning their necessity after arrests were made and results declared.

He alleged that the agitation was politically motivated, backed by Congress, AAP, and Left parties, and influenced by “anti‑national forces.”

Harichandan urged students to avoid divisive elements and instead engage constructively with the government to strengthen the education system.
