Odisha Launches Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Transform Public Service
Odisha has joined the nationwide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, commemorating 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
The campaign aims to transform public service into a mass movement, focusing on grassroots outreach and inclusive community welfare.
Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra emphasised that the initiative should transcend politics and become a people-driven mission rooted in responsibility and nation-building.
The campaign will extend to districts, Mandals, and polling booths, with special focus on tribal communities, women, farmers, youth, and economically deprived populations.
Activities include blood donation camps, cleanliness drives (shramdaan), tree plantation, and youth competitions in schools and colleges on themes such as Viksit Bharat-2047 and youth leadership.
Dr Mahapatra stressed that intent matters more than scale—every citizen can contribute, whether by donating blood, planting trees, or helping neighbours.
The campaign is framed as a long-term resolve, moving from service to development, with the vision of building a prosperous and empowered Odisha.
