Odisha Govt to Hand Over 1,101 Jobs at Nijukti Mela
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will host a Nijukti Mela on August 1, 2026, where 1,101 appointment letters will be handed over to newly recruited candidates across seven departments.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will preside over the ceremony and personally distribute the letters.
The recruitment drive covers a wide range of posts:
- Housing & Urban Development: 364 Junior Engineers (Civil)
- Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water: 357 Junior Engineers (Civil)
- Energy Department: 248 recruits, including Graduate Engineer Trainees, Diploma Engineer Trainees, Management Trainees, Technical Non‑Executive Trainees, and Junior Engineers (Electrical)
- Fisheries & Animal Resources Development: 86 recruits (15 Junior Engineers Civil, 71 Livestock Inspectors)
- Sports & Youth Services: 25 Junior Coaches
- Skill Development & Technical Education: 11 Assistant Training Officers
- Excise Department: 10 Sub‑Inspectors
The Nijukti Mela initiative is part of Odisha’s ongoing efforts to streamline recruitment and strengthen public service delivery.
By expediting the joining process, the government aims to ensure that essential departments are staffed with qualified professionals to meet the state’s growing needs.
