Odisha Floods: Six Districts Submerged, Four Dead

Heavy rains have triggered severe flooding across six districts of Odisha, leaving 44 blocks submerged and affecting more than 2.03 lakh people.

Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, and Sambalpur are the worst hit, with 748 villages inundated.

Tragically, four deaths have been reported in Dhenkanal district.

Crops and livestock have suffered extensive damage, particularly in Baleshwar and Bhadrak.

Relief operations are underway, with 28,000 people evacuated to 232 relief camps.

Essential supplies including rice, chuda, gur, cattle feed, and polythene sheets are being distributed.

ODRAF, NDRF, and Fire Service teams are deployed for rescue and rehabilitation, while district administrations maintain round‑the‑clock monitoring.

Authorities are focusing efforts on Baleshwar, Bhadrak, and Dhenkanal, where the situation remains critical.
