Odisha Eyes UAE Investments at Dubai Meet

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lead a high‑level delegation to the Dubai Investors’ Meet on September 8–9, 2026, aiming to attract fresh capital from the UAE and Gulf region.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain will accompany him, with the focus on positioning Odisha as a hub for value‑added manufacturing and clean energy.

The state government will highlight Odisha’s mineral wealth, coastline, and port infrastructure, pitching opportunities in metals, downstream industries, renewable energy equipment, logistics, and port‑led industry.

Policy stability, faster clearances, and competitiveness for energy‑intensive, export‑oriented industries will be emphasised.

This outreach follows a landmark Rs 1.10 lakh crore ($11.5 billion) MoU signed in July 2026 with Abu Dhabi’s IHC Group and the Adani Group for an integrated aluminium project, expected to generate over 53,500 jobs.

Odisha has also conducted roadshows in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and New Delhi under the Purvodaya vision, while approving projects in steel, ferro alloys, solar PV, rare‑earth value addition, pharmaceuticals, and railway manufacturing.

Looking ahead, the state is targeting investments in green hydrogen derivatives, solar manufacturing, critical minerals, and downstream parks, reinforcing its ambition to become a leading industrial hub in eastern India.
