Odisha CM Mohan Majhi’s Elder Brother Dies of Cardiac Arrest

Bhubaneswar: Dinabandhu Majhi, elder brother of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, passed away on Wednesday following a sudden cardiac arrest.

He reportedly complained of severe chest pain and was rushed to Capital Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of grief over the Chief Minister’s family.

CM Majhi, who is scheduled to attend the inaugural session of the BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Meeting in Puri as Chief Guest, is now faced with personal loss amid official duties.

Dinabandhu Majhi was residing in a government quarter at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar.

His mortal remains are currently kept there, while details regarding the last rites are awaited.
