Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Leads Census 2027 Drive with Self Enumeration
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has set the tone for Census 2027 by completing his own self-enumeration, urging citizens across the state to actively participate in the exercise.
The first phase, House Listing and Housing Census 2026, is being jointly conducted by the Census Directorate under the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Odisha Revenue & Disaster Management Department.
Citizens can complete self-enumeration online between April 1 and 15, 2026, via the official portal (https://se.census.gov.in).
From April 16 to May 15, 2026, trained enumerators and supervisors will visit households across all 30 districts of Odisha to collect data.
The Chief Minister emphasised that accurate census data is vital for effective planning and implementation of welfare schemes, development programs, and infrastructure projects.
Majhi appealed to residents to cooperate with enumerators and make full use of the self-enumeration option, highlighting the government’s preparedness to ensure smooth execution of the census exercise.
