Odisha Clears ₹3,793 Cr Investments, Nearly 20,000 Jobs to Be Created
Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved 24 major industrial projects worth Rs 3,793.33 crore, promising to generate 19,924 direct jobs across 14 districts.
The 147th meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg under the guidance of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, marks a significant step toward the state’s Samruddha Odisha 2036 vision.
The approvals span diverse sectors:
- Textiles & Apparel: Nandraj Textiles in Khordha leads with Rs 168.64 crore investment and 10,306 jobs, alongside Shahi Exports in Sambalpur and Maa Taratarini Textile Park in Ganjam.
- Tourism & Hospitality: Swosti Premium’s Rs 250 crore five-star resort in Koraput tops the list, with multiple resorts and hotels planned in Keonjhar, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, and Mayurbhanj.
- Energy & Advanced Manufacturing: Projects include a Rs 683.83 crore Battery Energy Storage System and a Rs 500 crore lab-grown diamond unit.
- Steel & Manufacturing: JSW Severfields Structures in Jajpur and Koshal Ceramics in Jharsuguda together bring over Rs 490 crore investment and 2,400 jobs.
- Consumer Products & Food Processing: Hindustan Coca‑Cola’s Rs 300 crore expansion in Khordha will add 990 jobs, complemented by smaller units in Cuttack and Khordha.
- Logistics & Infrastructure: Warehousing and logistics parks in Sambalpur and Balangir strengthen supply chain capacity.
These projects reinforce Odisha’s emergence as a preferred investment hub in Eastern India, balancing industrial growth with employment generation and regional development.
