Nitin Nabin’s First Odisha Visit Sparks BJP Enthusiasm in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, May 17: BJP National President Nitin Nabin touched down in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening for his maiden Odisha visit after assuming the party’s top post.
His arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport was marked by a grand reception from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, State BJP President Manmohan Samal, Union Minister Jual Oram, and senior leaders, including MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Dilip Ray.
The visit holds symbolic and strategic importance, coming on the heels of the BJP’s historic victory in the 2024 Odisha Assembly elections. Party cadres across the state expressed enthusiasm, viewing the trip as a morale booster and a roadmap for organisational strengthening.
On Monday, Nabin’s schedule includes a State Core Committee meeting at 8:30 AM, inauguration of the Pandit Deendayal Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan‑2026 at AIPH University, Jatni, and a religious visit to Puri for Lord Jagannath’s darshan, followed by Mahaprasad.
Later in the day, he will meet state office‑bearers, morcha presidents, and ministers to discuss booth management, grassroots consolidation, and election preparedness.
The two‑day visit will conclude Monday evening with his return to Delhi, but its impact is expected to resonate across Odisha’s political landscape as the BJP gears up for the upcoming panchayat and municipal polls.
