Newborn Found Dead in Kandhamal Septic Tank, Probe Begins

A shocking incident has come to light in Badasahi village under Tumudibandha police limits, where the body of a newborn was found floating in an under‑construction septic tank.

According to reports, property owner Ramachandra Chand discovered the infant around 10 AM on Sunday while inspecting his construction site after rainwater had filled the pit.

Chand immediately alerted Tumudibandha Police Station, following which police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and retrieved the body.

Authorities have registered a case and launched a thorough investigation to identify the infant and determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

The incident has sparked outrage and widespread discussion in the region, with locals demanding swift action and accountability.
