Jajpur Mining Belt Gets Free Dialysis & Clean Water Projects
Jajpur district’s mining belt has received a major boost in healthcare and clean drinking water facilities through District Mineral Foundation (DMF) projects.
A free dialysis centre was inaugurated at the Danagadi Community Health Centre, ensuring patients in mining‑affected areas no longer need to travel long distances for treatment.
In addition, IoT‑based “Nirmal Bunda” drinking water purification projects were launched across Chandia, Deulakana, Ransol, and Kaliapani Gram Panchayats to provide safe water access.
To strengthen maternal and child health, a Maa Gruha and Shishu Samruddhi Kendra (Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre) was opened at Kaliapani CHC, offering nutritious food and medical care for malnourished children and mothers.
The initiatives were formally unveiled during a public meeting at Chandimata Upper Primary School in Kaliapani, attended by Jajpur MP Rabindra Narayan Behera, District Collector Ambar Kumar Kar, and local residents.
These projects aim to improve the quality of life in mining‑affected communities by addressing critical needs in healthcare and clean water.
