Nayagarh Bus Overturns: 6 Critical, 30 Injured
Nayagarh, April 28: A tragic accident occurred on the Nayagarh‑Khandapada road when a private bus named Baby, carrying over 50 passengers from Rakma to Nayagarh, overturned near Khandapada.
The mishap left more than 30 passengers injured, with six reported to be in critical condition.
Local residents and police rushed to the scene, rescuing trapped passengers and shifting the injured to nearby hospitals.
While several victims received first aid and were discharged, those critically injured are undergoing treatment.
Witnesses reported that the bus suddenly lost control before toppling. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether speeding or mechanical failure was responsible.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety, overcrowded buses, and poor road conditions in the region.
Officials assured that preventive measures will be taken to avoid such tragedies in the future.
