Naveen Patnaik Demands Parliament Debate on Exam Paper Leak, Warns of Threat to Nation’s Future
Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition and BJD President Naveen Patnaik has raised serious concerns over alleged exam paper leaks, calling them a grave threat to India’s education system.
He warned that a nation compromising exam integrity compromises its future, as such breaches erode trust in merit and deny hardworking students the opportunity to rise above poverty.
Patnaik urged Parliament to hold a thorough debate on the issue, stressing the need for reforms to prevent paper leaks, flawed assessments, and systemic failures.
He emphasised accountability for the breach of trust and called on the government to engage in meaningful dialogue with peacefully protesting students, noting that democracy thrives on dialogue, not silence.
Reaffirming his party’s support for the youth, Patnaik said leadership must not fail students and should act decisively to restore faith in both democracy and the education system.
