Majhi Hails Governor’s Timely Appointment of 14 Odisha VCs
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has welcomed Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati’s decision to appoint Vice-Chancellors in 14 state universities, calling it a “timely and extremely welcome” step.
Majhi emphasised that the appointments will strengthen the higher education system, bring administrative stability, and energise academic reforms across Odisha’s universities.
He expressed confidence that the newly appointed Vice-Chancellors, with their knowledge and experience, will elevate the institutions to world-class standards.
The Governor made the appointments under Section 6(1) of the Odisha Universities Act, 1989, in his capacity as Chancellor of the universities.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the appointees, underscoring the importance of their leadership in shaping the future of higher education in the state.
