Khordha National Lok Adalat Settles Over 62,000 Cases, ₹28.85 Crore Claims Resolved
Khordha district witnessed a remarkable achievement during the third National Lok Adalat of 2026, organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).
Out of 83,061 cases presented, 62,487 were successfully disposed of through compromise, reflecting the efficiency of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
The settlements covered a wide range of disputes, including revenue, criminal, bank loan, and telecom-related cases, amounting to ₹28.85 crore in resolved claims.
The Lok Adalat was conducted under the supervision of District & Sessions Judge‑cum‑DLSA Chairman Biranchi Narayan Mohanty, with active participation from judicial officers, advocates, banks, insurance companies, and revenue officials.
DLSA Secretary Salomi Sahu expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their cooperation and emphasised the importance of public participation in such initiatives.
The next National Lok Adalat is scheduled for December 12, 2026, with preparations already underway to ensure greater outreach and impact.
