Japanese Ambassador ONO Keiichi Praises Odisha’s Dalma as ‘Delicious’

Bhubaneswar, April 27: Japan’s Ambassador to India, ONO Keiichi, has expressed his admiration for Odisha’s traditional dish Dalma, calling it “delicious” and a reflection of the state’s rich culinary heritage.

During his visit to Sambalpur for the launch of JSW JFE Steel Limited, a joint venture between JSW Steel and Japan’s JFE Steel, Keiichi shared his experience of tasting Dalma on his official X handle.

His appreciation of the lentil‑vegetable delicacy added a cultural touch to an otherwise business‑focused trip.
