IMD Warns Fishermen: Rough Seas Till July 27

Bhubaneswar, July 24: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning to fishermen along the Odisha coast, advising them to stay ashore from July 24 to July 27 due to rough sea conditions and squally weather.

According to the IMD forecast, wind speeds are expected to range between 35–45 kmph, gusting up to 55 kmph on July 24–25.

Conditions will intensify on July 26–27, with winds reaching 40–50 kmph and gusts up to 60 kmph.

The sea is likely to remain rough to very rough throughout this period.

Fishermen already at sea have been urged to return immediately to avoid risks.

Authorities have also advised coastal residents to remain alert as the monsoon activity in the Bay of Bengal continues to influence weather patterns across Odisha.
