Gambling Den Busted in Raurkela: Nine Nabbed, ₹7 Lakh Seized

Raurkela police raided a gambling den late Friday night, acting on credible intelligence.

The operation led to the arrest of nine individuals allegedly engaged in illegal gambling.

Authorities seized Rs 7,00,700 in cash, 12 mobile phones, a Mahindra Scorpio, a Maruti Suzuki Swift, a motorcycle, a scooty, and other gambling paraphernalia.

A case has been registered under Section 3 of the Odisha Prevention of Gambling Act.

Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to trace the wider network behind the racket.

The crackdown highlights the administration’s commitment to curbing illegal activities and ensuring public safety in the city.
