Family Dispute Turns Tragic: Woman Rescued, Husband Missing in Birupa River
A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Monday when a couple allegedly jumped into the Birupa River from Balikuda bridge.
The couple, identified as Sudhakar Ojha and his wife Tilottama Ojha of Talua area, reportedly took the step around 3 AM following a family dispute.
Tilottama was rescued near Mahakal Pada in Bari and rushed to Indupur Community Health Centre in Kendrapara for treatment.
Her husband, however, remains missing despite intensive search operations by Bari Fire Services personnel.
Authorities suspect domestic discord as the trigger behind the incident, though investigations are ongoing.
Rescue teams continue their efforts to trace Sudhakar as the community reels from the shocking event.
