Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked by ₹29; Delhi at ₹942, Bhubaneswar at ₹968
Domestic cooking gas prices have been increased by Rs 29 per cylinder, effective June 7, 2026. With this revision, a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder now costs Rs 942 in Delhi and Rs 968 in Bhubaneswar.
This marks the second hike in three months, following a Rs 60 increase in March triggered by disruptions in global energy supplies due to Middle East tensions.
State-run oil companies had been incurring losses of around Rs 703 per cylinder before the latest adjustment.
Fuel prices have also seen upward revisions.
Petrol and diesel rates have risen by Rs 7.50 per litre since mid-May, while compressed natural gas (CNG) has gone up by about 6 per kg.
Despite these hikes, oil companies continue to sell petrol and diesel below cost, losing approximately Rs 11 per litre on petrol and Rs 33.6 per litre on diesel.
The government has refrained from passing the full burden of global crude price increases to consumers, with state‑owned retailers absorbing part of the losses to shield households from sharper inflationary pressures.
