Dharmagarh Forester Jhunumala Sahu Dies After Being Hit by Truck

Junagarh: A woman forester was tragically killed in a road accident on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Jhunumala Sahu, a Forester posted under the Dharmagarh Forest Range.

According to reports, Ms Sahu was travelling from Bhawanipatna to Dharmagarh on her Activa scooter.

While she was passing through Chanchara Bhadi near Junagarh on National Highway 26, a speeding truck allegedly rammed into her scooter from behind.

After the collision, the truck driver attempted to flee the scene. However, local residents chased him down, apprehended him, and immediately informed the police.

Following the accident, local people shifted Ms Sahu to the Junagarh Community Health Centre in a critical condition in a 108 ambulance.

However, doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

The truck involved in the accident has been seized, and the driver has been detained for questioning.
