Chameli Ojha Case: PIL Seeks SIT Probe in Orissa HC

Bhubaneswar: The Chameli Ojha controversy has now reached the Odisha High Court, with the Bharatiya Bikash Parishad filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) demanding a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe.

The petitioners argued that the sensitive nature of the case requires independent scrutiny to ensure fairness and accountability.

The PIL specifically requested the preservation of CCTV footage and submission of medical reports directly to the High Court.

These measures, according to the petitioners, are essential to maintain transparency and prevent tampering of evidence.

The case has already drawn significant public attention, with widespread calls for an impartial inquiry.

The Parishad emphasised that only an SIT probe can guarantee justice and restore public confidence in the investigation process.
