Bomb Threat Email Triggers Panic at Malkangiri Court

Malkangiri, April 13: Panic gripped the Malkangiri district court complex after an anonymous email claimed that explosives had been planted inside the premises.

The message, sent under the name of the Tamil Nadu Liberation Group, threatened to blow up the court building.

District Judge Shantanu Kumar Das immediately ordered the evacuation of staff, lawyers, and litigants.

Police cordoned off the area and deployed a special bomb disposal squad to conduct thorough inspections. Despite extensive searches, no explosives were found.

Authorities are investigating the source of the email to determine whether the threat was genuine or intended to spread fear.

Officials have assured the public that security has been tightened and vigilance will continue until the probe concludes.
